MEASURING ENERGY

  When a gas or electricity bill arrives at home, the cost is for the energy transferred through the gas pipes or electricity cables.

Energy is measured in joules (J).

One joule of energy is very small amount. It is the amount of energy that leaves your body when you lift a 1 kg bag of sugar through a height of 1 metre.
