DIGITAL ACCOUNTING RESEARCH CONFERENCE (2006) JOINTLY SPONSORED BY
THE RESEARCH GROUP ON ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN ACCOUNTING, THE UNIVERSITY
OF HUELVA OCTOBER 13-14, 2006

In its third edition, the Digital Accounting Research Conference has developed to be a major international event for academics, graduate students, practitioners and anyone interested in current topics about digital accounting. Conferees, from all over the world, will present their latest research findings on new technologies applied to a large variety of topics related to accounting and finance. This conference is also meant to be a perfect meeting point for all those attendees that wish to meet their partners in order to develop new and emerging issues in digital accounting research.
The organizers encourage submission of papers across the range of scholarly research activity including; discovery, integration, application and education research. We encourage a wide range of submissions, including, but not limited to; papers in the areas of theory development, the integration of existing literatures, the application of new methods and models, the organizational impacts of technology and man/machine interfaces. Application areas can include a broad range of topics related to accounting and finance. Topics include: Expert systems, knowledge acquisition, uncertainty representation, machine learning, case based reasoning, rule induction, neural networks, genetic algorithms, intelligent agents, natural language, cognitive psychology, intelligent databases, continuous auditing, digital reporting, Internet, XML, XBRL, etc.
Papers on
continuous auditing are specially appreciated.
The first page of the manuscript should include the title, author(s), mailing address, e-mail address, and abstract. All submissions must be in the English language written in WORD for Windows. Electronic submissions must be received by July, 31, 2006. Contact Prof. Bonsón with questions at (bonson@uhu.es). We expect to notify author(s) as to acceptance by September 8, 2006. A limited number of papers will be invited to publish in the International Journal of Digital Accounting Research edited by E. Bonsón and M.Vasarhelyi.
The Scientific Committee has agreed to award to recognize the best paper presented at the conference. A plaque or other appropriate recognition will be provided for the author.
