The University of Huelva has a WiFi
network that enables any student at the University to
connect to the Internet. From anywhere on any of the
campuses a student can connect using a secure username and
password assigned to you by the University.
The University of Huelva also has an
Eduroam network. This is an independent network that is
available throughout Europe at various participating
Universities. This allows not only Huelva University
students to connect to the network but also other students
in Europe who have an Eduroam connection at their
University.
How Can I Connect to the Network?
1º
You need a University of Huelva Email account
The first thing you need is to get a UHU email account
set up. If you are an incoming Erasmus student you will
receive this information when you apply to the University.
Or you can ask for it at the International Office (maps.google.com).
You can also get this information by following this link and
filling in your details on the website (link)
2ºConfigure your PC
To configure your PC you must use the relevant guide by
following the links below.
The main problems when trying to connect are:
- An error in the configuration, usually there is something
that is checked, or unchecked that shouldn´t be, so make
sure you read the manual carefully and check each settin is
correct.
-A fixed IP address that won´t change automatically .
-An issue with Hardware compatibility or an unsupported
driver.
I DON'T
HAVE AN EMAIL ACCOUNT
You can register for an account on
the openuhu network. Click on “New User” and type
your details into the page that comes up. Once you have done
this you must go to the IT department to confirm your
identity and to activate your account.
