El \u00e1tomo central (X) est\u00e1 coordinado con tres ox\u00edgenos, con una disposici\u00f3n estructural triangular plana. Los enlaces X-O son covalentes, mientras que los enlaces que unen los grupos ani\u00f3nicos con los metales son i\u00f3nicos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los boratos son escasos pero tienen una gran diversidad mineral\u00f3gica por su gran capacidad de polimerizaci\u00f3n.
