Actually I am associate professor in the Department of Mining, Mechanical, Energetic and Construction Engineering in University of Huelva (http://www.uhu.es/dimme/). I teach 18 credits a year, as a part time professor in the subjects Concrete structures and Construction materials. 

I started my teaching as a part time activity in March 2004, and It continues nowadays. In this fifteen years of university teaching I have been involved in a total of nineteen different subjects from undergraduate and postgraduate studies, in schools of engineering and architecture, including national and international programes, plus on-line teaching.

The total amount of credits I have taught until know is 272,15 (each credit equivalent to 10 hours of presenting class), most of them as the coordinator teacher.

I have participated and/or coordinated a total of 10 Innovative projects about how to improve the teaching of university technical studies.

I have directed and/or formed part of the tribunal in more than 50 final degree projects defenses, related to structural and energy efficiency applied problems to engineering and architecture.

I have also some publications (congress proceedings and books chapters) specifically orientated to the improving of the teaching in technical university studies (See the CV document).

After more than fifteen years teaching structural engineering, in 2017 I had the opportunity of start teaching design studios in the School of Architecture and Urban Planning of Nanjing University, and that have changed my teaching interest. During fall semester 2018th I taught another design studio in NJU.

After COVID recession, this Fall 2022 I taught at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston (USA) combining a Design studio focused on green design and a Structural design course.

From 2006 to 2013 I taught an on-line course fro students coming from diverse technical Universities in Andalucía region called Teoría de Mecanismos y Estructuras. All the teaching, the work of the students and the rating was developed on line using Moodle platform.

My profesional experience combines both Architectural design and Academia. I research in the field of sustainable architectonical design and energy efficiency in buildings, communities and cities. Working in uhuMEB and uhuMEBr, a new methodology for the design, construction and operation of Minimum Energy Buildings (MEB), both new and retrofitted. Introducing the BIM/BEM standard from the first steps of the architectonical design as part of the necessary holistic approach. Using on-site real measurements of physical variables (temperature, humidity, air quality, solar radiation, energy, etc.) and renewable sources (solar, geothermal and hydrogen) integrated in the architecture of the building. Experienced in international collaborations and visiting professorships all over the world. I have full expertise and skilled experience conducting working teams as the CEO-Architect of LAR Arquitectura design company, with more than 500.000 m2 of buildings and urban developments projected for public and private clients. I have seventeen years of experience as Associate professor in University of Huelva, teaching construction materials, resistance of materials, concrete structures, structures theory, calculus of foundations, etc.
