Charlene Harripersadth y Silindile Gumede, ambas procedentes de Durban University of Technology (DUT), son las dos primeras estudiantes sudafricanas que recibe la Onubense. Las alumnas han tenido la oportunidad de cursar estudios en nuestra Escuela T\u00e9cnica Superior de Ingenier\u00eda durante el primer cuatrimestre del presente curso acad\u00e9mico 2018\/19, gracias a su participaci\u00f3n en el Programa Erasmus+ KA107 Estudios, para Universidades de pa\u00edses asociados (no pertenecientes al Espacio Europeo de Educaci\u00f3n Superior).<\/p>\n

El proyecto entre UHU y DUT para la movilidad en el contexto Erasmus+ fue concedido durante el curso 2017\/18, gracias a la estrecha colaboraci\u00f3n entre la Oficina de Relaciones Internacionales de la UHU y la Subdirecci\u00f3n de Internacionalizaci\u00f3n, Movilidad, e Innovaci\u00f3n Educativa de la ETSI. El acuerdo ha posibilitado durante el curso 2018\/19, y por primera vez, el intercambio de estudiantes, PDI y PAS entre ambas instituciones de Educaci\u00f3n Superior. El curso pasado contamos ya con la presencia del Profesor Theo Andrew, Decano de la Facultad de Ingenier\u00eda y Medioambiente de DUT, quien particip\u00f3 en nuestra Semana Internacional 2018.<\/p>\n

Por otra parte, el Profesor Andrew present\u00f3 su centro a los docentes e investigadores del Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Qu\u00edmica, Qu\u00edmica F\u00edsica y Ciencias de los Materiales, por invitaci\u00f3n del Profesor Mois\u00e9s Garc\u00eda. Y este curso nos ha visitado la Sra. Cecile Gar\u00e7on, responsable de la Oficina de RRII de dicha Facultad.<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s de cursar varias asignaturas correspondientes al programa de Docencia en Lengua Extranjera, coordinado desde el Vicerrectorado de Posgrado e Internacionalizaci\u00f3n, y asistir a clases de espa\u00f1ol del Servicio de Lenguas Modernas, las dos estudiantes est\u00e1n realizando sus Trabajos Fin de Master en el M\u00e1ster Oficial en Ingenier\u00eda Qu\u00edmica, estando prevista su defensa para mediados de febrero.<\/p>\n

La tem\u00e1tica de los TFMs, que son una continuaci\u00f3n de la investigaci\u00f3n que est\u00e1n llevando a cabo en DUT y que es dirigida por el Profesor Paul Musonge, del Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Qu\u00edmica, trata sobre la eliminaci\u00f3n de metales pesados en medio acuoso a trav\u00e9s de la bioadsorci\u00f3n (Charlene) o adsorci\u00f3n en nanoarcillas (Silindile). Los trabajos desarrollados en la UHU est\u00e1n siendo supervisados, en colaboraci\u00f3n, por los Profesores Ana Sayago y Juan Urbano, del Departamento de Qu\u00edmica \u201cProfesor Jos\u00e9 Carlos V\u00edlchez\u201d, y el Profesor Mois\u00e9s Garc\u00eda, del Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Qu\u00edmica, Qu\u00edmica F\u00edsica y Ciencias de los Materiales.<\/p>\n

En el marco de un segundo acuerdo dentro Programa Erasmus+ KA107 Estudios, para Universidades de pa\u00edses asociados, hemos recibido tambi\u00e9n a tres estudiantes de Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST): Tulonga Hidipo, Rodney Uetuuonga Mbai y Kalkidan Hailemichael Tesema. Tulonga y Rodney son alumnos de Grado y han realizado en la UHU asignaturas reconocibles en su formaci\u00f3n, espa\u00f1ol y sus Trabajos Fin de Grado, bajo la supervisi\u00f3n de las Profesoras Cristina P\u00e9rez-Carral Lorenzo y Eva Corral Pazos de Provens del Departamento de Ciencias Agroforestales (UHU), y del Profesor Miguel Vallejo Orti del Geospatial Science and Technology Department (NUST). Kalkidan es alumna de M\u00e1ster, tambi\u00e9n se ha formado en espa\u00f1ol y ha estado redactando su Trabajo Fin de M\u00e1ster con el apoyo de los Profesores del Departamento de Ciencias Agroforestales, Luis Felipe P\u00e9rez Romero y Fernando Flores Gil (UHU), y del Profesor Ibo Zimmermann, del Agriculture and Natural Resources Sciences Department (NUST).<\/p>\n

En 2018 se desarrollaron con \u00e9xito 3 movilidades de la UHU a Namibia-NUST, una de formaci\u00f3n predoctoral y dos de profesorado (formaci\u00f3n y docencia).<\/p>\n

Desde la UHU y desde la ETSI se contin\u00faa trabajando en com\u00fan por la continuidad de estos fructuosos acuerdos.<\/p>\n\n\n
