Regionalización de cadenas globales en insumos críticos: Sudamérica ante las transformaciones recientes y los efectos esperados en el Norte y Sur Global

Resumen

Este artículo analiza la ralentización de la globalización tras la crisis de 2008 y la creciente relevancia del Sur Global, enfocándose en el acortamiento de las cadenas de valor y la regionalización de insumos críticos. Examina los desempeños generales y sectoriales del Norte Global y el Sur Global, con énfasis en el posicionamiento de Sudamérica. Se emplea un modelo insumo-producto multi-país y ejercicios de extracción hipotética de insumos críticos. Los hallazgos identifican desafíos y oportunidades para los países sudamericanos en el proceso de regionalización, aportando elementos clave para comprender su impacto en los espacios macro-regionales

Hernan Alejandro Roitbarg, Universidad Nacional del Litoral

Hernán Alejandro Roitbarg es investigador en el Instituto de Humanidades y Ciencias Sociales del Litoral (IHUCSO Litoral, CONICET-UNL). Su trabajo se centra en el desarrollo industrial y la integración productiva en América Latina durante el siglo XXI, con un enfoque desde la perspectiva del análisis input-output multicountry. Entre sus publicaciones representativas se encuentra el artículo “Productive specialization and integration in South America: A global input–output analysis” (en coautoría con Brondino y Lucero), publicado en Structural Change and Economic Dynamics (2023), donde analiza los patrones de especialización productiva e integración en Sudamérica mediante un marco de input-output global.

Víctor Ramiro Fernández, IHUCSO (UNL-CONICET)

Víctor Ramiro Fernández es investigador en el Instituto de Humanidades y Ciencias Sociales del Litoral (IHUCSO Litoral, CONICET-UNL). Su trabajo se centra en el análisis de las transformaciones geopolíticas y geoeconómicas transescalares que afectan a América Latina, con especial énfasis en la integración productivo-industrial macrorregional bajo el liderazgo Sino-Asiático. Entre sus contribuciones académicas destacadas se encuentra el artículo “Global Value Chains in Global Political Networks: Tool for development or neoliberal device?”, publicado en la Review of Radical Political Economy (2014), donde examina el papel de las cadenas globales de valor en los procesos de desarrollo y su relación con estructuras neoliberales globales.
