Revisión sistemática de la medida de inteligencia emocional: rasgo y/o competencia

Resumen

La Inteligencia emocional (IE), definida como la capacidad de percibir y expresar las emociones, ha sido cuantificada como rasgo y como competencia. El propósito de este estudio fue revisar sistemáticamente la evidencia disponible sobre la relación entre la IE y las medidas de IE. En PsychInfo, Cochrane, y PuntoQ se buscaron artículos relevantes en inglés y español, y se identificaron 104 estudios elegibles. Juntos, estos estudios proporcionan una fuerte evidencia de que la IE como rasgo y la IE como competencia se usan para medir la IE pero es la IE como rasgo la que se usa con más frecuencia. Las variables más estudiadas que se han relacionado con la IE han sido clínicas, de personalidad y emocionales.
