Estuvo en servicio desde\u00a0<strong>1889 hasta 1932<\/strong>, y ser\u00eda sustituido sucesivamente por: el tambi\u00e9n desaparecido hoy en d\u00eda \u201c<strong>Puente de Hierro<\/strong>\u201d y el actual viaducto de hormig\u00f3n armado. N. de FCP].<\/p>\n<p>Este primitivo puente de madera desembocaba en una calle en cuya parte izquierda se levanta \u201c<strong>La Primera<\/strong>\u201c, nombre de la f\u00e1brica conservera pionera de\u00a0<strong>Juan Mart\u00edn Cabet<\/strong>, y a la derecha (de la imagen), la F\u00e1brica de Mirabent, hoy en d\u00eda convertido en el\u00a0<strong>C.I.T. Garum<\/strong>, para estudios tecnol\u00f3gicos. Su tramo m\u00e1s cercano a Isla Cristina pod\u00eda pivotar (rotar) para dejar paso a los barcos de mayor tama\u00f1o. Agradecemos a D. Figuereo la informaci\u00f3n aportada].<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Nota de vistoynovisto:<\/p>\n<p>Este\u00a0<strong>puente de madera<\/strong>\u00a0(1889 a 1932) fue el primero de los tres que con el tiempo se han construido como entrada a Isla Cristina salvando la r\u00eda Carreras. Esta entrada a la poblaci\u00f3n enlaza a\u00fan hoy\u00a0con el camino a Ayamonte,\u00a0la N-341 y el\u00a0desaparecido apeadero ferroviario\u00a0del Pozo del Camino.<\/p>\n<p>Este primitivo puente de madera daba acceso directo al casco urbano de \u00a0Isla Cristina por la calle Carreras, junto a \u00a0la antigua <strong>f\u00e1brica de Mirabent<\/strong>\u00a0(hoy convertido en\u00a0<strong>C.I.T. Garum<\/strong>). La calle comunicaba la r\u00eda de la que toma el nombre con dos puntos centrales de la poblaci\u00f3n: el mercado de abastos y la plaza de las Flores.
