The MSc in Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) is mainly practical, that is why most of the subjects being part of the Study Programme have a strong practical load in labs and field work. This practical load will be reinforced and highlighted in the last part of the MSc with some specific training in specialized Companies and Organizations. Moreover, at the end of the MSc and to finish the training, the student will have to elaborate a Degree Project , which will also be completed in the environment of the Organizations and Companies collaborating with the MSc.

The MSc in RPAS composed of 100 ECTS (1000 training hours), out of which 52 ECTS (520 training hours) will be given in the Higher Technical School of Engineering at Huelva University (ETSI), 40 ECTS (400 training hours) will be spent in the facilities of the Companies and Organizations collaborating with the MSc, and 8 ECTS (80 training hours) will be spent in working in the Degree Project.

English will be the language used for the teaching of the subjects and the lessons at ETSI will be given in the afternoon, from Monday to Friday at 16’00 hrs. The first 52 ECTS of the MSc will be taught between October and April. After this phase is completed, the student will spend four months in the Companies and Organizations collaborating with the MSc to complete other 40 ECTS. Finally, after the training period is completed, the student will complete the last 8 ECTS by beginning to work on the Degree Project, which will be tutored by the University and by the Company or Organization the student is working with.

The MSc will open with the subject Preparatory Knowledge Teachings, which according to its name, wants to make the students coming from different educational branches (engineering and physics), may acquire the minimum necessary knowledge to take the MSc with the guarantee of an adequate previous formation. This subject, which will be given at the beginning of the MSc and in coincidence with no other subject, will teach basic formation divided in the following modules of one ECTS ( 10 Hours) each: basic concepts of atmosphere and meteorology, basic concepts of aeronautics, basic concepts of electronics, basic concepts of instrumentation and communication and basic concepts of modeling and control.
