 José Antonio Bellido Díaz (Zafra, Badajoz, Spain) was born in March 1963. He studied classical philology at the University of Seville, where he also obtained a Bachelor's degree. He received his Ph.D. in Humanities from the University of Huelva (2003) with the reading of the thesis "Amatory Metaphors in Latin elegy", led by Dr. D. Antonio Ramírez de Verger. He participates in the Research Group 'Nicolaus Heinsius' (HUM-261) in the University of Huelva, since 2002. José Antonio Bellido is responsible for editing and textual commentary for Book II in the Research Project of Ovid's Metamorphoses.
