The hardware of the DAQ, FEBEX, is manufactured at GSI (Darmstadt, Germany) laboratory. The software for managing the DAQ is also produced at GSI (Multi Branch System). FEBEX cards, with FPGA, feature full digitization of the signal coming from the amplifier, enabling Digital Pulse Shape Analysis (DPSA). DAQ able to handle 80 channels. Go4 software is used for on-line monitoring of the spectra.
Double Side Strip Silicon Detectors (DSSSD) (Micron W1 D/S): 1x40 um, 1x17 um thick, square 50x50 mm^2 dimension PAD Silicon detectors (Micron MSX25 SS): 2x500 um thick, square 50x50 mm^2 dimension
Strip Silicon detectors (Micron QQQ2 SS): 2x40 um thick, 90 deg
PAD Silicon detectors (Micron QQQ1): 2x500 um thick, 90 deg
FFF2-500 (DSSSD) (Micron): Trapezoidal for GRIT detector
Poli-Crystal Diamond detector: 1x500 um thick 5x5 m^2
Byass supply modules, circuitery & cabling for handling pulses.
Stainless steel vacuum chamber measuring 600x400x300 mm^3(length-width-height).
Vacuum system able to operate down to 10^-5 mbar
NIM modules for fast (logic) signals used for building different trigger schemes for event validation are powered by two NIM crates. Trigger ratemeter.
A total of 80 channels can be handled by the combination of DAQ+preamplifiers with adjustable dynamical ranges (Manufacturer: Mesytec). In order to check the electronics chains a pulse generator is used.
