This paper presents a new modeling language for fuzzy systems called XFSML. It is an XML-based language and it is proposed as a starting point for the definition of a standard modeling language in the fuzzy community. The main features of the language are its high expressiveness and its independence from specific platforms, tools or programming languages. © 2012 IEEE.
